Local Restaurant awarded first Michelin Star

We are absolutely delighted to hear that our neighbouring restaurant Crocadon (just a few minutes by car), has been awarded its first Michelin star. Head chef and proprietor Dan Cox has already seen a 3 Michelin star rating at L’Enclume in the lake district, but receiving that first star having really only just opened is a truly marvellous achievement for Crocadon! Truly Fine dining in the heart of St Mellion is not something we have been able to talk about until now!

With it’s sustainable farm to table ethos, they already have a Michelin green award to their names. The restaurant (times and days vary) is open Thursday to Sunday. For a coffee or light lunch and the most amazing pastries, try the bakery which is open lunchtimes Thursday to Sunday.

Holiday homes with the Uks fastest broadband

November 2019. Now you can get the UKs fastest residential broadband at speeds of up to 300MBPS. This means if your property is connected to BT ULTRAFAST, you could download a movie in about 20 seconds. For those who need to work or stay in touch, this just makes Oakridge that much better a destination. It is likely that this will only be available through BT. As an owner, you will have to move your supply to them in order to benefit any uplift in speed. If you are looking to rent at Oakridge St Mellion, do check with the owner before booking.

Window and door frame painting at Oakridge

Most of the properties at Oakridge have now had their window and door frames painted in the new colours agreed between all owners. The remaining ones are scheduled to be painted in the next month or two.

I hope everyone agrees that the new colours work really well and help the properties blend even more into the beautiful surrounding countryside.

Well done to all owners. Another great example of how we can all work together to keep Oakridge looking pristine for us and our holiday makers.

The next AGM in January will allow us to discuss other ways we can keep improving the estate.
